TThe RMC LB7000 is a modular, cost-effective line boring system designed to deliver full line bore capability across a wide range of popular engine models. Engineered with flexibility in mind, it allows for standard applications as well as custom configurations to meet specialized requirements.
This system is capable of accommodating both small- and large-block engines and provides a stable, accurate setup through precision-mated adaptor plates. These plates attach directly to the engine block, ensuring rigidity during machining and allowing complete access to all bearing housing bores.

The RMC LB7000 has been designed with a modular architecture, allowing operators to configure it for specific applications without the need for multiple dedicated machines. Its full line bore capability extends to both mains and cam bores, making it suitable for a wide variety of rebuilding and performance machining tasks.
Precision adaptor plates are at the core of the design. Each plate is engineered for durability and accuracy, and once attached directly to the block, they provide a true “mated” connection between the workpiece and the tooling. This connection eliminates misalignment and ensures stability throughout the boring process. Because the system is designed to provide full clearance
to the bearing housing bores, operators have unobstructed access for accurate and efficient machining.
The RMC LB7000 is compatible with a broad range of engine platforms. It is designed to handle large and small block Chevrolet V8 engines, Chrysler and Ford V8 engines, as well as GM 90-degree and Ford SVO V6 blocks. For less common or specialized engines, the system can be
customized with additional components to extend its capabilities.
The RMC LB7000 provides stable, vibration-free operation even during demanding large bore machining. Its direct block-to-tool alignment reduces setup time by eliminating the need for secondary fixturing, and the precision fit of the adaptor plates enhances machining accuracy. This combination of modular flexibility, setup efficiency, and stability offers users a cost-effective alternative to dedicated single-application boring systems, while maintaining the high standards of precision required in both rebuilding and performance environments.
The RMC LB7000 Modular Line Bore System is particularly well-suited for engine rebuilding facilities, high-performance machine shops, and custom engine builders. Its adaptability makes it a versatile choice for operations that require precision line boring across multiple engine platforms, while its modular design ensures that the system remains expandable and relevant for future applications.
